Individual Therapy

An essential relationship that is often overlooked is our relationship with ourselves – feeling connected to our authentic self and aware of our inner world as we navigate all our relationships.

How do you tend to yourself, to all the parts of you. Even the parts you may not like, or you wish you didn’t have. The one that gets insecure, the one that withdraws, the one that lashes out. Creating space inside to witness yourself with acceptance and compassion is the first step. I can help you connect to your true self and live authentically. To let go of the need to be “nice” and instead embrace true kindness, which includes caring for yourself and prioritizing your own needs.

Fee for individual therapy: $230 for 60-minute session

Please note that clients will be responsible for the full fee in the event of a missed or cancelled appointment with less than 24 hours notice. Fees are due at the time of service in the form credit card, check or cash. FSA/HSA cards are also accepted.

I am not in network with any insurance companies. If you have mental health insurance benefits with your insurance provider you may be eligible to submit a claim for reimbursement of out-of-network services provided. For more information click here (FAQs).

“Stop walking through the world looking for confirmation that you don’t belong. You will always find it because you’ve made that your mission. Stop scouring people’s faces for evidence that you’re not enough. You will always find it because you’ve made that your goal. True belonging and self-worth are not goods; we don’t negotiate their value with the world. The truth about who we are lives in our hearts. Our call to courage is to protect our wild heart against constant evaluation, especially our own. No one belongs here more than you.”― Brené Brown

Couples Therapy

Our loved one has the power to trigger us and push our buttons in ways that nobody else can!

And this presents us with opportunities to go to these places that need healing. I believe that it is essential for couples to create a safe space to slow down and have difficult conversations in a new way. A safe place to explore and learn about each other’s growing edges, without judging or shaming. A place of witnessing each other with curiosity, kindness and compassion to heal wounds which likely pre-date your partner. Introducing mindfulness and choice, expanding awareness and shining a light on places that used to operate in the shadows, out of awareness.

We all have our blind spots, and sometimes we can’t do it alone. I have experienced the value of having someone hold that space for me, to help guide the conversation when it feels stuck, with curiosity and compassion.

In our culture we have so much emphasis on finding “the one.” Or at least on finding someone. There are plenty of apps to help you do just that. But, once you are paired up, moved in, or maybe even married- other than lots of resources to help you plan “the day”, the story kind of ends. You’re just supposed to know what to do after that and how to make it all work.

Just as you would take your car into the mechanic if you noticed an engine problem, sometimes relationships need consultation with an expert, and the longer you wait to seek help, the bigger the problem can become. When we feel safe, connected and deeply understood in our closest relationships we have the freedom to grow and develop into our best selves. You can break free from the cycle of endless fighting, disconnection and loneliness. It doesn’t have to be that way, and life really can be much better for both of you. Couples counseling can be transformational and profoundly healing when both partners are willing to work on themselves.

We all need our romantic relationship to be a safe haven. I can help you co-create this with your partner. I am passionate about this work and bring my whole self in my work with clients. I want to help you feel safe and connected, to live from an open-hearted place and with a felt sense of love and belonging with your partner.

Online Therapy

I provide individual therapy and couples therapy sessions online (this is currently only available to residents of the state of Maryland). Online therapy can be particularly convenient for clients who travel frequently for work. The online platform allows us to work together even when you or your partner are temporarily in different states.

If you are in Maryland but prefer to avoid traffic and work together from the comfort of your own home that is certainly an option too!

I use HIPAA compliant secure video conferencing to make our online work convenient and confidential. All you need is a comfortable private space, good internet (if you can stream Netflix, your internet connection is good enough for online therapy), and a smartphone, tablet, laptop or personal computer.

Private Intensive Couples Therapy

Do you want to work on your relationship without dealing with weekly appointment logistics and scheduling challenges?

Intensives allow you to focus on what matters most- your relationship. It’s an opportunity to connect on a deeper level without life distractions and the busyness of everyday life getting in the way. Motivated couples can really take this opportunity to prioritize their relationship and do important work to reconnect and heal together.

An intensive is ideal for:

  • • Couples with childcare issues, which make it difficult to keep recurring weekly appointments
  • • Couples who live far away from highly skilled marriage counselors
  • • Busy couples who work long days and don’t have the availability to go to weekly therapy
  • • Couples where one or both partners travels frequently, or live in different states (online therapy is also offered for these couples)

How does it work?

An intensive is usually done on a Saturday where we condense the equivalent of one month of weekly therapy into one day. We meet in my office.

Sample schedule for the day:

10-12:30pm AM joint session
12:30-1:30pm lunch on your own
1:30pm-4:00pm PM joint session

Fee for Intensive: $1250

A 75-minute follow up session one week post-intensive is recommended (can be done in my office or online): Fee for follow up is $290
